Speaking & Consulting

SPEAKING & CONSULTING

Much of the work I do involves visiting places and helping people and institutions thinking about their roles and mission - and I often like to do that with art materials and processes.

I work with different organizations and individuals to address aspects like community engagement or staff and professional development in art and art education.

That happens in organizations like schools, universities, museums, and others. In Macau, China, for example, I helped an early childhood public school thinking about inclusion and how art practices could offer ways to address the needs of extraordinary children.

In Singapore, I worked with the Ministry of Education’s branch for art education to help them define the “big picture” in terms of professional development needs for elementary school art teachers.

I regularly present my work in national and international conferences such as National Art Education Association Annual Convention (NAEA), New York City Museum Educators Roundtable, Reconceptualizing Early Childhood Education International Conference, or Digital Fabrication in Education Conference. In addition, I have been a invited speaker at events in North and South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia.
